It is the sister magazine platform to Awake Afraka. While Awake Afraka is purposefully shaped around African metaphysics, spiritual awakening, cultural memory and inner transformation, Astra Planet was created to publish the important stories that sit beyond that specialised mission.

Knight Fredel Ijere is the Chief Editor and principal writer of Astra Planet Magazine. His work moves between current affairs, history, relationships, mystery, spirituality and imaginative storytelling—fields that may look far apart until curiosity joins the dots.
He is the author of Mr Strange: The Story of the Man Beyond Time and The Ogbanje Child and the Four Elements, two published books that reflect his fascination with time, identity, African cosmology and the unseen dimensions of human experience.
Fredel also publishes Awake Afraka Magazine, his self-publishing magazine devoted to African metaphysics, spiritual awakening and cultural memory. Through iFredeX SiteCentral, his web-development and hosting company, he builds, hosts and manages digital platforms for people, publications and organisations.
His wider path as a spiritual master of the mystic art, mystery teacher and writer informs his editorial voice: questioning, reflective and comfortable at the meeting point between the practical and the mysterious.
